Thanks to the support of CASFL (National Center for the Promotion and Development of Nonprofit Organizations), the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, and the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Development (MEPyD), Happy Dolphins is launching

​

Costas Seguras República Dominicana 2026

​

This year we will provide free international lifeguard certification training to 60 new lifeguards across three important tourism destinations in the country, beginning in Miches, the rising premier destination of the Dominican Republic’s east coast. 🌊

​

The program aims to:

• Strengthen safety in tourism destinations
• Create dignified job opportunities for youth
• Promote water safety education and lifesaving culture
• Strengthen the connection between coastal communities and the ocean

 

If you are physically fit and have good swimming abilities, this is your opportunity!

Rescue techniques for pools, open sea, and surf (waves).

🌊🐢 This year’s program, Costas Seguras República Dominicana 2026, is dedicated to the majestic Leatherback Sea Turtle, one of the most ancient and

extraordinary marine species on the planet. 💙

The Leatherback finds refuge and nests along important areas of our coastline, including Miches and Playa Encuentro, reminding us of the importance of protecting our oceans and coastal ecosystems.

The Leatherback Turtle has been chosen as the program’s symbolic and protected species, representing our commitment to safer coasts and healthier oceans.

Because protecting the ocean also means protecting the species that call our coasts home.
